What kind of cramps are normal during pregnancy?
During my research I have found several women (including some of my close friends) who have said they also had horrible cramps during their first trimester however it has yet to calm my new motherly worries. I am a young mother at twenty and have experienced cramps worse than period cramps and I am six weeks long. At first I thought this was because just over a week ago I should have had my period but now that time has passed and they are still occuring. Luckily, I have not had any bleeding but first miscarriages are all too common in my family (both grandmothers, mother, as well as aunts). I know no one can tell me a miscarriage will not happen, no one knows, but if someone could ease my distress about this syptom I would greatly appreciate it.
I never had cramping in any of my three pregnancies. If you're really concerned about what you're experiencing, talk to your doctor. You don't have to worry about "bothering" your doctor or their nurses. They are available to answer your questions and calm your fears, even between appointments.
I am 7 almost 8 weeks into being pregnant for my first time. i get cramps as well.

I am 15 weeks pregnant and I still have cramping I had cramping like you are with my first pregnancy. My doctor at the time told me it was normal because your muscles and ligaments are getting ready for your uterus to get bigger. I hope this finds you comfort.

I was also informed that the cramping is normal, the only time you should be worried is when there is blood involved.
